Project Assistant (Migrant Resource Center)

Core Functions / Responsibilities:
In particular s/he will be responsible for the following;
1) Provide general assistance in the implementation of project activities
such as Outreach or conduct awareness sessions of safe migration to the
potential migrants, migrants and members of their families and
2) Retrieve, compile, summarize and share the update information related
to job opportunities available in local and overseas labour market,
procedures, fees and required documents to travel, stay and work abroad
3) Assist in identifying the needs, the problems and issues the clients
request/claimed and the right service providers, or responsible
departments/ministries the cases can be referred to be solved
4) Support migrants in need by providing information and counselling and
referring them to the relevant service providers as necessary
5) Draft status report such as weekly and monthly reports
6) Support in organizing MRC facilities and equipment for warm and nice
presentable and functioning to run day to day task including reporting
7) Respond to general information requests and inquiries and complaints on
the abuses and exploitations; set up and maintain files/records
8) Perform the relevant tasks as the emerging situations emerged
Job Requirements

* Any University Degree in Arts and Science preferably in Social Science with a
related field from an accredited academic institution with one year of relevant
experience; or

* Secondary School Diploma in the above fields with three years of relevant
professional experience.

* Experience of at least 1 year working with communities and government
counterparts is an advantage

* Experience and interest in working on migration issues is an advantage

* Good team building skills and experience.

* Demonstrable and proven problem- solving skills.

* Computer literate (MS office applications).

* Knowledge on the context in the project area

* Excellent written and spoken Myanmar. Good Written and Spoken English is

* Speaking ethnic languages mostly spoken in the areas where Migrant Resource
Centers are located.
